Flying Eyeball Reunion This Sunday

The 1st Annual Flying Eyeball Reunion “Run-What-Ya-Brung Drag Day” is coming to CDP this Sunday (Aug.19th) from 10-2. The “Run-What-Ya-Brung Drag Day” will wrap up 3 big days of the Flying Eyeball Reunion here in the Quad-Cities. The events kick-off Friday with a poker run to downtown Davenport, then on Saturday the activities move to the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds for a car show, swap meet, vendors, contests, bands and more, with Sunday finishing off at CDP.

The “FlyingEyeball” was created by legendary Hot Rod builder and painter Kenny Howard aka “Von Dutch” in the late 1950’s.  Howard, became the inspiration for other legends as “Big Daddy” Ed Roth of the “Rat Fink” fame, Shaky Jake, and the Barris Brothers to name a few.
