AMC'S OF YESTERYEAR INVADE CORDOVA THIS WEEKEND

The popular and very unique American Motors muscle cars will invade Cordova Dragway Park this Friday and Saturday, September 11 & 12. NAMDRA (an organization that promotes American Motors racing and show) will present the AMC Nationals. The event begins Friday with a club picnic and Swap Meet, extends into Saturday morning with a Car Show, Swap Meet and Drag Race. "I always love to see the true iron of the 1960's and 70's with the awesome AMC classics" said Scott Gardner. The AMC's will have a special gamblers race during the Friday Fun Night event and will agian hit the track Saturday morning at 9 AM for an exclusive AMC only race.

Following the AMC Nationals and Car Show on Saturday will be a Cordova Points Bracket Race (#12) that will determine who attends the NHRA Division 5 Bracket Finals in Topeka the following weekend. Time runs for all-brands on Saturday with the points race will be underway approximately 3 PM.
