GREAT LINE-UP FOR 56th WORLD SERIES OF DRAG RACING

FUNNY CAR TITLE CONTENDORS TO ATTEND

The 56th O’Reilly Auto Parts World Series of Drag Racing is expected to be one of the best independent events ever to be presented. Without exception the best running Nitro Funny Cars will be attending the World Series. “While John Force and John Force racing had been considered the premier team in drag racing, we truly have the quickest and fastest funny cars with the Pedregons and Wilkerson and then there’s Jack Wyatt who beat Ashley Force last weekend” mentioned Track Operator Scott Gardner.

In addition to the Nitro Funny Cars, current IHRA Top Fuel point’s leader Bruce Litton will attend with his Lucas Oil Fuel Dragster. His competition will be upstart Illinois based racer T.J Zizzo in the Peak Antifreeze entry.  Of course the World Series would not be complete without a fleet of exhibition vehicles including the DRO Nitro Nostalgia Funny Cars, Nostalgia Top Fuel, Jets, Wheelstanders, Nitro Altereds, Beswick, Animal Jim, Grocery Getter, Blastro and more.

On Friday, August 28 is the World Series of Drag Racing “Night of Thrills” which kicks off the DRO Nitro Nostalgia Funny Car qualifying, the jets, wheelstanders, nostalgia super stocks and for one night only “Benny the human Bomb.” Racing is throughout the day with the feature show underway at 7 PM.

Then Saturday, August 29 it’s the Pro Finale. All the Nitro entries will be racing on Saturday evening with a huge exhibition show including the fireworks finale.  Again racing is scheduled throughout the day with the feature show at 7 PM.
