THE PERFECT PICTURE OF CONSISTENTCY

Brown Tames the Quarter-Mile using a 6.94, 6.94, 6.95, 6.95, 6.94, 6.99 & 6.95 to win Super Pro at Cordova Dragway Park

No one dared to tell Hank Brown that a supercharged 200 mile-n-hour dragster might not be best combination to win the Super Pro class on a 45 degree Saturday Night, as he wouldn’t have listened anyway.

After making two time trials during the cool and blistery afternoon this past Saturday (May 9) at Cordova Dragway Park (Cordova, IL), Brown served quick notice that he was a serious threat to win the highly contested Super Pro ET Bracket Eliminator. However, conditions would become even more challenging as evening temperatures dropped into the 40’s during eliminations.

Brown continued to make believers out of the racers in his class; the fans and track officials who watched him flawlessly (and seemingly easily) win 5 rounds of racing in a short 3 hour period to take the Super Pro class win. “My dragster performed exceptionally well tonight as we flirted continually with the 200 mile per hour mark taking round after round” said Brown.

The win had meaning more than a trophy and a check as his sponsor from the Truck Country Company was in attendance at the event. Brown defeated Tom Klemme in the final who drove the Beale-Klemme dragster to the runner-up finish.
