PERFECT WEATHER MAKES FOR GREAT RACING

58th World Series Kicks Off This Friday, August 26

It's a fans and racers best hope that great weather conditions would exist for the oldest continuous drag race in the World, and that appears to be the case for the 58th O'Reilly Auto Parts World Series of Drag Racing. The multi-day event kicks off Friday (August 26) with the Night of Thrills at 7 PM.

The Drag Racing Online AA-Funny Car Challenge will have a qualifying session as a part of the Night of Thrills. Fifteen Nitro Nostalgia Funny Cars are likely to take the track in an attempt to get qualified for the eight car field. In addition, the Jet Funny Cars and Dragsters along with the wheelstanders will make an appearance. Add in the Pro Mod Super Series and some Midwest Super Stock Mafia, Victory Performance Nostalgia Super Stocks, Nitro Altereds and more and it'll be a great evening of drag racing action.

On Saturday (Aug 27), the sportsman drivers take to the track at 8 AM with time trials and qualifying all day. In addition the Duncan Race Cars Pro Mod Super Series will be qualifying as well as final qualifying for the Nitro Nostalgia Funny Cars. The Pro Finale featuring our entire show including the NHRA Top Fuel Dragsters and Funny Cars gets underway at 7 PM.
