WORLD SERIES TOP FUEL SHOW
SOMETHING SPECIAL
The 58th O'Reilly Auto Parts World Series of Drag Racing will be very special, as a great line-up of Top Fuel Dragsters is set. The four teams are very diverse in their style however they do have one thing in common, their desire to win. While this isn't Las Vegas, the Cordova odds makers reviewed the cars and stars and made their predictions below.
BRUCE LITTON - LUCAS OIL DRAGSTER (2-1 ODDS)
Current IHRA World Champion and 2009 World Series of Drag Racing Top Fuel Winner Bruce Litton brings his Lucas Oil entry to Cordova believing he is the guy to beat. Arguably, Litton has been down a vast variety of tracks the past two seasons that provides him the knowledge to tame the Cordova strip.
CLAY MILLICAN - PARTS PLUS DRAGSTER (3-1 ODDS)
Millican is no stranger to Cordova Dragway Park. Holding the current quarter-mile Top Fuel records at 4.60 ET and 326 MPH while dominating Top Fuel events in 2000, 2001 & 2002. "Running a limited NHRA schedule in 2011 allowed us the chance to come back to Cordova and defend our winning record" stated Millican, "we will be ready."
TOMMY JOHNSON, JR - (4-1 ODDS)
Most recently competing on the European Tour, Johnson Jr. proved very quickly he is the man to beat. Resetting the European ET and Speed records, Johnson leads the points series. Coming back into the United States might be a challenge as sometimes jet lag sets in. However, now use to playing the spoiler role, he might rise to the occasion!
CHRIS "The Golden Greek" KARAMESINES - LUCAS OIL SPECIAL (5-1 ODDS)
What can really be said for the Greek that hasn't been mentioned before. The first man to hit 200 mph is now in his 80's and goes 300 mph. Appearing ageless, the Greek can never be ruled out, just ask Doug Kalitta!
The Top Fuel Dragsters will be in action at the World Series of Drag Racing on Saturday evening, August 27 (7 PM). Don't miss this opportunity to see some of the World's best Top Fuel racers.
