VOLUNTEER DAY DEEMED A SUCCESS AS
OPENING WEEKEND & SWAP MEET ARRIVES

The 16th Annual Volunteer Day on Saturday, April 9 was a super success as a variety of projects big and small were completed. “I can’t underestimate the importance of the volunteers and the work they completed this past Saturday” mentioned Scott Gardner. Projects that were worked on included fencing, gates, staining, roadways, pit area, construction and more in preparation of opening weekend this Saturday and Sunday, April 16 and 17.

As mentioned above, opening weekend for the 2011 season is finally here as the sound of drag racing will return this Saturday and Sunday. In addition to the Spring Warm-Up there will be a Swap Meet and your chance to get rid of those parts and pieces you don’t need and buy the ones you do. Gates open Saturday, April 16 at 10 AM with racing underway at 11 AM. Then on Sunday, gates open at 9 AM (to accommodate those who have appointments for NHRA certification) with racing underway at 11 AM. In addition to test-n-tune, trophy and a gamblers races the Heartland Stock/Super Stock Association will be in attendance.
