Cordova Dragway Hosts Monson’s Truck Stop Nationals – August 1

Ever wonder how fast your truck really is? This is your chance. Cordova Dragway presents the Monson’s Truck Stop Nationals on Saturday, August 1, the ultimate celebration of all things truck.

Gates open at noon with racing action all afternoon featuring dragstrip classes for any shape and size: Big Rig, Daily Driver, Diesel Showdown, Race Truck, and Burnout Contest. The event also features the Twisted Shifterz Truck Show presented by twistedshifterz.com. Big Rig Show classes include Working Class, Vintage Class, Monson’s Choice and Twisted Shifterz Choice. 

Payout is $400 to Win and $100 Runner-Up across all classes with $40 entry. General admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids. Event held at Cordova Dragway, 19425 Route 84 N, Cordova, Illinois. Trucks, trucks and more trucks – don’t miss it.

Joe Zolper’s Builder’s Brawl Returns to Cordova Dragway

Real Builders Battle for 100% Payouts on May 8-9, 2026
This popular grassroots event celebrates true car builders and rewards them with bigger payouts. The Builder’s Brawl is open to everyone. Drivers who qualify as builders receive 100% of the payout, while non-builders receive 75%. It’s all about skill, knowledge, and craftsmanship.
Friday, May 8 – Cash Days for Big Tire & 10.5 Showdown and Friday Night Testing
Saturday, May 9 – Junior Dragster action in the morning and Daily Driver & Street Muscle Cruise starts at noon
Classes Include: Daily Driver, Street Muscle, Dirty 6’s, High 5, 10.5 Showdown, RWYB 4.50 Index, Big Tire, Balls Out Big Tire, and Junior Dragsters.
